Ascorbic Acid Supplements: An Alternative View

Time for a little refresher on Vitamin C.

It’s an essential vitamin, meaning we can’t make it ourselves. It’s hot right now, especially because it supports the function of:

immune system
Antioxidation
Fertility (hello progesterone!)
Tissue healing
Adrenals
Thyroids
Blood sugar regulation
Digestion

But what if I told you the Vitamin C in your cabinet isn’t real? And that it actually depletes you of it?

Almost all Vitamin C sold on the market today is Ascorbic Acid.

‘Biochemically, Ascorbic Acid is nothing like Vitamin C. It is a pro-oxidant, not an antioxidant, meaning it causes oxidation in the body...[it’s] much more like an antibiotic than a vitamin.
