Friendly reminder: seek help from those who want to see you actually get pregnant

fertility healthy pregnancy preconception ttc

Your preconception visit should be MORE than just “take a prenatal and try for a year.” πŸ˜‘

Unfortunately, that’s exactly what most women hear when they walk into their doctor’s office.

πŸ‘‰ No real plan.
πŸ‘‰ No deeper testing.
πŸ‘‰ No actual strategy to optimize fertility.

This advice is way too basic. 🀦‍♀️ And ironically, while you’re told to stop taking certain supplements because they’re “not FDA-approved”… guess what? Prenatal vitamins aren’t either!

πŸ”₯ If you want to make your preconception visit WORTH IT, here’s what to do:
βœ”οΈ Get basic labs done (these are often covered by insurance!)
βœ”οΈ Bring at least 3 months of cycle logs πŸ“Š
βœ”οΈ Ask about your PARTNER’S fertility (because 50% of infertility cases are male factor!)

πŸ’‘ Your doctor’s advice is just ONE piece of the puzzle. If they dismiss your concerns, it might be time to find a provider who actually takes fertility seriously.
