Part 1: The thing about IVF no one is talking about

Let’s talk about the MANY misconceptions about IVF. (FYI: This is PART 1 of 2)

I help couples pregnant naturally AND using assisted reproductive technologies (ART).

I LOVE my job. ❀️ Seeing someone finally hold their little miracle πŸ‘Ά is beyond rewarding.

But here’s the reality:

Fertility rates have sharply declined πŸ“‰ and continue to drop.

Today, 1 in 6 people experience infertility, and more couples are turning to ART treatments like IVF. πŸ§ͺ

While fertility treatments can be miraculous, they are also emotionally, physically, and financially draining πŸ’Έ with no guaranteed success (especially if you don’t know the exact issue).

πŸ‘‰ Base fees can be upwards of $14,000 and don’t even include medication costs, semen analysis, fertility assessments, etc.

Here’s the kicker: The average patient goes through 2.5 IVF cycles, bringing the total cost to an average of $50K, 85% or more of which is paid out of pocket. 🫣

Let’s not sugarcoat it—healthcare in the US is a business. πŸ₯

The ART industry is growing at 5% YoY πŸ“Š, and between 2020 and 2021, it grew by 54%. 🀯

91.9% of the global revenue for ART comes from IVF, which means this is the MOST common ART by a long shot.

Words like "boost” and "opportunity” have been used to describe the ART industry because, at the end of the day, it’s an industry.

In 2023, ART was a $27.6 billion industry, projected to reach $41.4 billion by 2030. πŸ’°
